**The Opportunity**

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the development and execution of the Logistics strategy for MP&L Operations to support International and local programmes. Provide technical support and work towards standardising and improving logistics operations at the EMC, through data driven analysis. Power Train Production Operations is responsible for the manufacture of the JLR Propulsion systems to support the current and next generation of JLR vehicles. Delivering a premium product, the EMC operations team have established, developed and continue to grow the facility to ensure a first class service to our customer base.

- CCAR’s for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Environment
- Kaizen activity & Implementation tracking
- Efficiency Improvements - e.g.: CPU, HPU
- LLP Performance scorecard - Inbound - Stores - Linefeed
- MTM Analysis
- New program introduction

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Implementation and improvement of material flow systems including but not limited to IT, Manpower, Hardware and processes at EMC
- Development of the strategy for all material planning, flow and logistics to support international and local programmes to ensure the strategy is aligned to both the overall company and functional strategies
- Use of Bill of Material tools to develop solutions ( Plan For Every Part - PFEP)
- Liaise with Purchasing to ensure logístical factors are fully included in all sourcing decisions
- Work on the development of logistics requirements and material flow strategies, ensuring that Jaguar Land Rover are adopting Best in Class Logistics solutions
- Contribute to the development of cost submissions for programmes
- Work on the development of Value Stream Maps to achieve optimum efficiency for logistics and LLP operations
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
- Champion for Method Time Measurement (MTM) activity and analysis
- Lead responsible for line back material flow systems to meet best in class industry standard from fitpoint to supplier ensuring optimised value add fort the construction of customer required propulsion systems

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

**Essential**:

- Previous experience in Logistics operations
- Good analytical skills and statistical ability
- Experience or knowledge of project management and process improvement
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

**Desirable**:

- Experience working in manufacturing environment
- Logistics supply / operations
