Sprowston Community Academy is a growing 11-18 school serving the North-east of Norwich. We are exceptionally proud of our place within the local community and our strong local reputation reflects this. We are an inclusive school and believe passionately that students need to be equipped as good citizens as well as good learners. The successful applicant will work with us to fully promote this ethos whilst also striving for academic excellence.

Sprowston Community Academy is seeking to employ a Behaviour and Welfare Lead for KS3 to liaise with school leaders to formulate plans for the strategic leadership and management of behaviour and safety within the school environment, while also leading the Pastoral Managers in operational duties during the school day.

Sprowston Community Academy is a unique school community and so we are looking for someone who will compliment the existing staff team and who can work collaboratively with our students, families and staff to make an impact.

The above-mentioned duties are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out other relevant and/or reasonable duties as directed by the Senior Leadership Team or their Line Manager, commensurate with the skills, abilities and grade of the post. This job description may be amended at any time following discussion between the headteacher and member of staff.

Whilst every effort has been taken to explain the duties and responsibilities of the post, certain individual tasks may not be identified. The post holder will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from a manager to undertake any task of a similar level that is not specified in the job description.

All employees are expected to follow the staff code of conduct.
