Network HR have been retained by a high performing, leading Asset Manager for the appointment of a Business Manager for their European CEO. The role of Business Manager is akin to a "Chief of Staff". As the successful Business Manager, you will oversee variousprogrammes of work on behalf of the CEO, interfacing between all functional areas of business to ensure seamless communication and supporting on the roll out and execution of the organisational strategy. Responsibilities will be to work closely with the CEOand other relevant senior managers to:
- Develop and monitor an integrated PGIE business plan from an operational oversight perspective, co-ordinating and challenging where necessary on behalf of the CEO working closely with the finance function.
- Monitor the development and implementation of business plans for all key European countries and ensure that they are aligned to the forecast market share and profitability growth of the channel
- Ensure connectivity between all relevant regional and functional teams in relation to developing and executing the integrated business plan
- Responsible for participating in and contributing to headcount and budget planning and management, working closely with regional unit heads and HR (in conjunction with Finance) on behalf of the CEO.
- Responsible for resolving key issues that arise, escalating concerns to the relevant business head on behalf of the CEO.
- Escalate issues to the CEO when required and give regular updates on issues that are relevant.
Strategic Projects
- Assist with strategic projects as required.
- Take ownership for creating new and reviewing as well as improving core Strategic processes
Regional Support
- Provide Business Management support to the CEO and other senior stakeholders in Europe as appropriate.
- Support the European businesses in the development of annual business plans
- Attend project/ committee meetings as required
Management Information / Team outputs
- (Responsible for the oversight of these team outputs)
- Preparation of monthly management information and reports for Boards and the GCG Management team in conjunction with Finance, covering financial performance against budget, strategic progress, KPIs and key issues encountered.
- Work with relevant teams to streamline and improve quality of reporting where appropriate.
- Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis
This role will be ideal for someone who is a self-starter with a drive to succeed. You will have enjoyed the variety of a graduate scheme and then spent a few years in the business, exploring the CFA qualifications or currently in a Business Management rolelooking to level-up. What will you need:
- Financial services background will be mandatory for this appointment
- Degree educated/ studying or completed CFA Qualification
- Experience of supporting a C-level stakeholder
- Experience of leading business projects/deliverables
