£350-450 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

**About the role**:
This ‘Good’ Secondary SEND school, based in Newcastle is looking to appoint a passionate Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 3 and 4 classes as classroom support on a full-time basis. Working in this Secondary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis in KS3 and 4 with pupils with SEND including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. This full time Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant role is long term from April ongoing.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant - Full Time you will:

- A passion to work in education.
- A commitment to undertake virtual, evening training sessions and committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.
- Availability to complete a paid placement in a school.
- Readiness to start working as a TA with us on completion of the programme.
- Be compassionate, understanding and caring.
- Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people.
- Be flexible, proactive and a team player.
- Understand the crucial importance of keeping children and young people safe.
- Be able to demonstrate at interview the reasons why you want to start a career in education, and explain your understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant and the important part they play in the school community.
- Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- No experience required
