A Senior Lead Teacher is required with special school experience as part of the middle leadership team. This role requires a qualified full-time or part time teacher who is passionate and driven to ensure pupils receive the best possible education, positiveand creative, with a flexible approach, forward-thinking, inspirational, and receptive to change, able to work within the larger school team and manage a small team of class staff and able to respond to challenging behaviour with sensitivity and resilience.

The School is a community special school that provides specialist education for children aged 2-16 years with severe (SLD) or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs, including those children with ASD. Holding an inclusive ethos,the school endeavours to provide specialist provision alongside its co-located mainstream partners across two sites. Now part of an Academy Trust the school now benefits from strong leadership with a clear strategic plan for improvement in place. The Trustbelieves in providing quality educational offerings alongside excellent facilities, whilst maximising each school’s potential. The vision is for every school in the Trust to be a centre of excellence for education, building a collaborative ethos and maximisingopportunities for staff and young people.

The new Senior Lead Teacher will arrive at a very exciting time. As well as having the opportunity to work with a supportive and committed senior leadership team to further shape and develop the team, the school has also secured funding for a state of theart new build which will include a hydro and life skills centre.
