**Doctoral School Support Officer**

The University of Salford is now looking for a new Doctoral School Support Officer to take responsibility for all aspects of administrative support in the Doctoral School, ensuring services are efficient, effective and adapt to changing circumstances. You will also develop common systems and processes, standardised on best practice and ensuring that University regulations and procedures are adhered to.

We have entered a new and exciting era for research at the University, making investments in our students, staff and research infrastructure to help us achieve our overall aim of producing research that is high-impact and high-profile and that is beneficial to our stakeholder groups.

**What will the role involve?**

Reporting to the Doctoral School Manager the post-holder will provide high quality, customer centric support in relation to PGR operational activity. This will involve delivering and supporting activities across the entire student lifecycle from admissions, student support to examinations.

There will be a strong drive to create a culture of continuous improvement and you will be expected to proactively identify and participate in the development and embedding of new initiatives designed to improve service or success rates.

**Research and Knowledge Exchange**

Our Research and Knowledge Exchange team provide support for our colleagues in pursuit of research and enterprise activity, growth in research and enterprise income, and performance in the REF and KEF. Our delivery supports our ambitions to grow industry engagement and income, enhance the student experience, develop world class research, produce real-world impact, and develop a vibrant community of high-quality researchers and enterprising staff.
