OVERVIEW
Climate Solutions is a unit within ISS ESG, the responsible investment business of ISS. As investors seek to gain a better understanding of their exposure to climate-related risks, Climate Solutions provides data, analytics and advisory services to support financial market participants and governments to understand, measure, and act on climate-related risks and its impact on investments across all asset classes. ISS ESG Climate Solutions is a market leader within its field and highly innovative.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the implementation of advisory mandates and bespoke data deliveries of ISS ESG Climate Solutions- Conduct climate impact analysis of investment portfolios across all asset classes- Maintain a strong understanding of overall climate solutions and expertise in transition-related products- Support sales with client requests- Support colleagues and clients on advisory offerings of ISS ESG Climate Solutions including support on day to day communications, operations and report writing.- Support team with quantitative analysis and research on climate strategies of companies.
QUALIFICATIONS- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience relating to data analytics or climate change- Advanced university degree ideally in environmental science, engineering, economics, quantitative finance, expertise in financial (ESG) topics is a bonus- Demonstrated interest in climate change in general- Specific knowledge in investment carbon footprinting, climate impact assessments of investments, GHG-accounting, or Life Cycle Analysis- Knowledge of climate modelling techniques, in particular relating to transition risk- Corporate finance modelling is a plus- Good awareness of climate related regulations- Very strong quantitative (and qualitative) analytical skills and excellent conceptual thinking aptitude-
- Understanding of Data science, Machine Learning and good working knowledge of Python is a bonus- Excellent oral and written command of English. Fluency in French or German is a plus.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customer-first attitude- Willingness to work with a highly collaborative, flexible and innovative team across different locations- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
