Here at Yorkes of Dundee we are looking for a Counter Assistant to join our team. They must be enthusiastic, hard-working and committed to customer service. As the business continues to flourish and grow we need individuals who are trustworthy and reliable to help our team in achieving company goals.

**Job Outline**:
As counter assistant you are required to greet customers in the Butcher shop in a friendly and optimistic manner, making sure that every customer that comes through the door is served swiftly, pays the right amount for their goods and leaves happy.

Delivering the very highest standards in customer service is imperative and it is expected that you remain calm during peak periods and are expected to juggle several orders at once with a smile. Every day is different as you respond to customer enquiries and build up your product knowledge. It is your job to create a great shopping experience by ensuring the counter is always well stocked and immaculately presented.

**Responsibilities**:

- To Prepare foodstuff for the hot and sandwich/salad counter
- Maintaining cabinets and fridges, rotating stock
- Handling raw and cooked food safely
- Give advice about food content and menu choices
- Work quickly and accurately to maximise sales
- Cash handling and operating an electronic till
- Customer care, handling customer enquiries and complaints
- Signing and checking for goods received
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all areas
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, filling out the relative paperwork daily
- Comply with company goals and objectives

Immediate Start available

Hours: 16 per week with holiday cover
