Are you an Architecture Manager looking for a new position in an organisation that gives you flexibility in your role?
Computershare has a fantastic opportunity to join our established Architecture team based in Yorkshire as the Head of Architecture for our Computershare Loan Services (CLS) UK business. CLS UK is Europe’s largest mortgage servicing outsourcer looking after c£40Bn of live loans and is also a mortgage lender in its own right. Servicing over 30 clients, this makes for a rewarding and varied environment to learn and support.
This position will be leading an established team of talented Solution Architects, supporting our technology functions within our CLS business in the UK. This role would suit an experienced Architecture Manager who is ready to step up into a “Head of” role, or an established lead Architect with broad technical experience with line management experience looking for their next career move. As part of the CIO senior management team, you will be expected to directly influence and help communicate the IT strategy to our stakeholders.
The team is based in Yorkshire with flexibility on remote working, however there is an expectation that the successful individual will regularly visit the offices to build and maintain relationships with the team and wider community.
Ideally, you will come from a hands-on Architecture background so that you can help to develop, coach, and lead your team in continuous improvement, whilst working with the wider Architecture teams to look at fully holistic designs. Experience of Scaled Agile Framework is of interest. The range of activities you will be involved in as part of the senior management team would also benefit from different perspectives that you may have gained from other career roles or responsibilities.

You will work in conjunction with wider business stakeholders to deliver business value from our IT systems, whilst ensuring our systems and data are secure. A key focus that you will have will be the improvement of architecture and design capabilities of your team and the wider development teams, focusing on coaching, adoption of best practices, and sharing knowledge of your external insight.
Working as part of a wider Computershare Architecture community, you will promote collaborative working within the team and with other parts of the architecture community within the rest of the global Computershare group, with the aim of improving our architecture capability, promoting best practise, and delivering a global technology strategy.
**Other key accountabilities**:
- Ensure effective support of business and technical change through direct architecture support of development activity and early engagement in business change. Supporting the evolution or architectural designs through delivery.
- Represent and actively participate in Global governance and Architecture communities on behalf of the CIO of CLS UK.
- Ensure and support the building of effective relationships with stakeholders and business units to fully understand business needs and provide strategic consultation.
- Support the effective translation of business requirements into solution architecture and design and technical product roadmaps.
- Ensure the management of technical debt to support long-term sustainable development.
**What will you bring to the role?**
Supporting and mentoring your team will be paramount in this role, which means that experience leading and developing experienced teams is a must. Working closely with the wider Architecture and technology community will be a huge part of your role, which means that the ability to build effective, and most importantly, collaborative relationships will be vastly important.
We’re looking for you to actively seek out others ideas, and share your own knowledge across Computershare’s technology and business communities, which means that you will have the ability to discuss and present technical findings to senior stakeholders from numerous departments, whilst influencing the decision making.
**Other key experience required**:
- Significant experience in leading an enterprise or solutions architecture team.
- Experienced in the implementation of Enterprise Architecture Artefacts, architecture process and governance.
- Expert experience in the design and implementation of a diverse range of technology solutions and services (data communications, web-based technologies, service-based technologies, performance, scalability, maintainability, deployment, operations, technology infrastructure, security.
- Ability to present technical solution design options and justification to all levels of the organisation, as well as manage expectations when balancing solution alternatives against business constraints and technological realities.
