Lead Technical Support Engineer (Electronics)

Eastbourne

£37,900 to £45,800 DOE + Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension +Progression Opportunities+ Benefits Package

DAYS BASED ROLE. Monday to Friday.

Technical Support Engineer required for a well-established electronics manufacturer who are market leading in their industry. They boast a global presence and are a brand associated with quality. This is a varied role with a high level of autonomy/responsibility.

The role would suit an experienced technical support engineer with an electronic background or an electronics engineer who have experience of electronic testing to component level. You must be able to demonstrate extensive experience within a manufacturingenvironment. Previous experience of producing 8D reports is an essential requirement for this role.

The role will be varied. You will have involvement across a number of departments. You will work closing with the NCR team to prioritise workload and ensure quality of products is kept high. You will ensure all investigation workloads of the NCR team aremanaged and addressed. As part of your role you will work alongside the lead engineer for escalations in transfer of workload relating to significant high levels issues with safety or quality over to the escalation team ensuring all information is handed oversmoothly and H&S issues are highlighted. You will communicate issues across the relevant departments and present findings to ensure that issues are rectified. You will carry out and report on evaluation and compliance testing to EN standards for new and existingproducts.

The Technical Support Engineer:
*Able to priorities and manage team's workload

*Carry out data mining and analysis to track trends and ensure that nonconformities are being resolved effectively

*Ensure all investigations by the NCR team are managed and addressed within a timely fashion

*Investigate issues with all internal production, inter-site return and field returned products.

*Must have previous experience providing technical support

*Must have a strong electronics background - digital and analogue circuit types

*Must have previous manufacturing experience

*Must be confident fault finding to component level

*Will ideally have an electronic or electrical engineering degree or equivalent

*Previous experience of producing 8D reports
