Sales Administrator

**Job Summary**

We are offering a unique opportunity to join our small but fast-growing team of 3 staff in Lochmaben as a Sales Administrator. The contracted hours for this position are 40 hours with opportunity for overtime. Salary is £11 to £13 per hour depending on experience.

**About Us**:
At UniGreenScheme, our hard-working team collect second-hand equipment from a number of prestigious UK universities, and process and photograph the items at our warehouse to be resold online.

Since our launch in 2016, our team has collected over 1,000,000kg of unwanted but useable equipment. Instead of this going into disposal skips, it has been photographed, tested and processed, and ultimately sold on to be re-used in hospitals, schools, and research labs across the world.

We have also supplied equipment to several movies and TV shows as props (including the upcoming Star Wars TV series) and have supplied equipment to a wide range of global buyers including NASA.

For our teams’ work, UniGreenScheme has won numerous awards including being named the Start-up Company of the Year by the 2017 Welsh Business Awards.

**About the Role**:
This role is a highly dynamic Sales Administrator - helping to close key sales, resolve customer queries, and general sales administrative duties such as raising invoices. The vast majority of our sales are online or over the telephone - with a very mínimal but occasional in person sale. Ther will also be general administrative duties to assist staff in other departments.

You will be working from an office, but will need to be comfortable occasionally entering our warehouse - as some queries require you to view the products which are located in the warehouse.

We would estimate about 2-3% of your time to be spent in the warehouse.

You will also be part of our front of house team so will need to be comfortable answering the door to couriers etc

**Training and Development**:
We sell predominantly used laboratory equipment but we do not expect you to have any prior knowledge of lab equipment.

**About You**:
We are looking for a hard-working and committed individual who is able to think on their feet and responds well to this dynamic sales position.

To fulfil the role, you must have exceptional IT skills, and be comfortable using a computer for the vast majority of your day. You must also be a people-person and highly motivated, keen to chase up on potential sales leads. Previous experience in a sales or customer service role is desirable.

It is important that you feel comfortable both working under direct supervision to meet targets, as well as self-motivating yourself when working independently.
