Due to continued growth within the business, MPAAS are now looking to recruit an experienced Technical Trainer who will be responsible for the training and development of MPAAS employees which will include new starters, trainees and current engineers.

You will assist the Training Manager in delivering gas, electrical and smart meter training (theory & practical), assessments, inductions, lesson planning and documenting and collating all paperwork.

**The Salary & Terms applicable for this role**
- Permanent position based from our Head Office in Haydock, Merseyside.
- Salary range - £38,000 - £40,000
- Full time, Monday-Friday - 40 hours per week
- Up to 10% annual bonus based on company performance
- 23 days holiday + 1 extra day per year worked for MPAAS (Up to max 25)

**Your overarching key responsibilities**
- Instructing new starters on all technical testing procedures in line with company and industry standards.
- Carry out MOCOPA Assessments.
- Tracking of existing engineers qualifications, booking of refresher courses.
- Creation of learning content and documentation.
- Conduct training and assessments (Practical & Theory).
- Assist with lesson planning and upgrading training centre.
- Assist the Training Manager with any other ad-hoc duties.
- Continuously evaluating the success of the training programmes and finding areas of improvement.
- Working alongside multiple departments across the business including but not limited to Smart Meter Operations, Health & Safety & Recruitment.

**What we are ideally looking for in you**

Essential Skills/Experience
- Experienced Trainer with experience of designing appropriate training programmes.
- Experience of delivering Smart Meter learning content to both experienced and trainee engineers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Passion for training and development of others.
- Team player with a positive attitude and proactive approach to work and willingness to learn new skills.
- Innovative approach to problem solving.

Desirable skills/qualifications
- 3phase metering certification.
- EV installation experience.
- CCN 1 (or Equivalent).
- MET 1.
- 18th Edition Domestic Installer.
- CAVA or equivalent qualification.

**Who are MPAAS?**

MPAAS are an accredited Meter Operator and Meter Asset Manager which means that not only do we own the smart meter asset, but we can fit the smart meter on behalf of your energy supplier.
