Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for an Accountant to join a dynamic and consistently growing business in the Redhill area on a permanent basis.

You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller and be part of a growing finance team where the opportunity to be promoted to a Finance Manager is available.

**Your duties will include**:

- Ensure that all accounting records are appropriately kept and that reported results comply with accounting standards
- Ensure that monthly income reporting and analysis is carried out
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, supporting group consolidations and reporting schedules
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, preparing monthly income statements and other regular financial reports
- Help manage the day-to-day accounting activities - this including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll and Banking
- Ensure bank reconciliations on all bank accounts are completed
- Prepare draft VAT returns
- Deputise for the Financial Controller from time to time
- Assist with queries from external auditors
- Streamlining and improving processes and procedures
- Assisting with the management of cash flow, debt and debt collection
- Assisting with the preparation of cash flow forecasts
- Carry out monthly review of overheads and follow up on reasons for variances
- Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, fixed assets register and any provisions held
- Ensure that credit cards and expenses are administered and processed
- Administer new credit cards and queries from CC users
- Assist in preparation of PSA and P11D calculations
- Ensure preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

**Key requirements**:

- Experience of being in a similar position
- Strong reconciliations experience is essential
- Strong excel skills
- Open to streamlining processes and changes
