Nine Twenty are delighted to be working with a successful and growing manufacturing company in Fife who are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join them on a permanent basis.

The Logistics Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and seamless international shipping operations the company. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a strong understanding of logistics and international trade regulations. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of international shipments, from documentation and customs compliance to transportation and delivery. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods across international borders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and oversee international shipping operations, including import and export activities, to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to arrange transportation and delivery of goods, optimizing routes, costs, and lead times.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates to stakeholders, and proactively address any delays or issues that may arise during transit.
- Manage relationships with customs brokers, ensuring proper customs clearance and adherence to import/export regulations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to international shipments, including shipping logs, customs forms, and compliance records.
- Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations, customs requirements, and shipping practices to ensure compliance and adapt processes accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement, production planning, and customer service, to coordinate shipments based on business needs and customer requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the shipping process.
