Payroller

This is a progressive business looking for somebody who wants to join a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Ideally you will have some knowledge of the below duties.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and process the main payroll and pension payroll (500 staff) every month, including instructions issued internally, and by Government bodies and employees, using the PASS system software.
- Create payroll records for all new staff and maintain the payroll database to a high level of accuracy including adjustments for joiners, leavers, changes to employment status, contractual changes, sickness absence reporting, maternity benefits and otherleave and annual salary increments.
- Administer the pensions auto-enrolment process in current legislation and statutory/organisational timescales.
- Liaise with pension members and the pension provider as ex-employees approach their retirement date and coordinate all paperwork.
- Complete and process the monthly and annual returns and payments to HMRC
- Monthly reconciliation of payroll and pension control accounts.
- Maintain and manage payroll and pension records in order to deal with enquires and to assist in the completion of the annual staff budget, as well as statutory and other returns when required.
- Minimum 4 years experience in a busy in-house payroll role.
- Knowledge of SSP, SMP, SPP and other payroll additions and Deductions
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands
- ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience in the administration of pension schemes
- Tact, diplomacy and a sense of humor
