Night Router

Overview:
We are looking for someone to work in a hands-on role as a Night Router/Shunter within the Engineering department based at Rigby Road Bus Depot.
As well as allocating vehicles for service the following day, you will assist the evening fuellers and shunters in their duties and work closely with supervisors and shift engineers ensuring any issues are dealt with promptly and professionally.
You must be reliable and have the ability to work both in a team and on your own with mínimal supervision. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential. You must have a current driving licence, a PCV/LGV licence would be an advantage.
You will work 37 hours per week, between the hours of 1730-0630 Wednesday-Saturday. Details of which will be discussed at Interview. The rate of pay is £12.73ph
**Responsibilities**:
- Producing a legible yard plan and associated paperwork for the Engineering Department Managers
- You will ensure all vehicles - Swept, washed, fuelled and parked safely for the following day’s service.
- Interior and exterior bus cleaning (including bus wash)
- Ensure vehicles allocated for service the next day.
- Ensure any incidents or accidents recorded and reported to your supervisor.
- You will keep up to date records of any oils, Ad-Blue, or screen wash top ups.
- You will liaise with the Evening Supervisors and keep them informed of any issues, which may affect PVR.
Qualifications:
Essential/Desirable (E/D)

Driving Licence E
PCV/LGV Driving Licence D
Willingness to undertake any training required for the role E
Knowledge of the safe use and handling of chemicals E
