Our client is a major distributor of FMCG goods who are currently looking to recruit an experience Quality, Health & Safety (BRC) professional as they seek a Depot QHSE Manager at their multi-temp RDC in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Reporting into the General Manager, the successful Site QHSE Manager will be responsible for advising and influencing the Depot Management team to ensure the site is legal and compliant to all Health & Safety, Environmental and Food Safety legal and companystandards.

**Key Responsibilities of the QHSE Manager**:

- Be proactive in assessing health & safety risks from audits, accidents, claims and other data to develop improvement plans and coach depot Management team to implement these.
- Create engaging initiatives to encourage Depot Management team to take action to ensure all requirements of the Health, Safety & Environment and Food Standards system are met by the depot and BSC through coaching, influencing and supporting.
- Accountable for completing internal audits at the depot to support assurance, audits and risk objectives and where needed, analysing and acting upon outputs with the Depot Management Team.
- Influence Depot Management team to ensure all Health & Safety, Environmental and Food Standards training is completed on time and in full. Proactively report potential non-compliance to the GM / BUD.
- Be responsible for control of the site site facilities budget, analysing costs alongside key stakeholders in property, procurement and the central facilities team to support and delivery value for the business.
- Take an inclusive approach to continuous improvement by reviewing the operation as a whole and recommending and developing opportunities to peers and depot leadership.

**As QHESE Manager, you will ideally possess the following**:

- Experience of working in a fast-moving distribution environment with strong knowledge in Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Standards and Internal / External auditing standards.
- NEBOSH - National General Certificate
- HACCP Level 3
- Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Internal Auditing Qualification
