The Assistant Accountant role will be responsible for engaging and managing day to day transactions within the Finance department and across the wider business. You will provide support to the accounting team on a regular basis and during weekly / monthly financialreporting process. You will also have involvement in the improvement of department processes and will therefore become a vital part of a successful, highly functioning and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Producing Monthly Accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Reconciliation and processing of prepayments, accruals and standard charges
- Management of Company paid credit cards
- Balance Sheet reconciliation
- Completion of national statistics returns
- Oversee and assist in the completion of all bank account reconciliations
- Ensure year end schedules required for tax packs are completed on a monthly basis
- Quarterly preparation of VAT returns
- Ad-hoc Payment request processing
- Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Packs
- Processing Intercompany Journals
- Replenishing and reconciling petty cash
- The administration and reconciliation of Fixed asset control accounts
- Member of an Accountancy body is desirable
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to strict deadlines
- Good verbal and written communicator
- Results driven and focused
- Dynamic approach and attitude
