The Treasury Manager will take strategic ownership Octavia's treasury function, ensuring that adequate financial resources are in place to enable Octavia to achieve its objectives. The Treasury Manager will maintain strong external relationships, be a figureheadfor financial excellence and lead the development and upskilling of the finance team in treasury matters.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the treasury function for the Group, raising new finance as required, managing the Group's cash and deposits in a prudent fashion and ensuring adequate cash is available to meet Octavia's liabilities as they fall due
- Take ownership of the Group's treasury strategy, policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with lender covenants and requirements at all times
- Lead the property charging process and monitor the position to ensure sufficient headroom is maintained to cover for principal risks
- Review and input into the Group's 30-year business plan ensuring the treasury strategy is properly represented in the plan and stress tests, scenario planning and mitigation strategies are reviewed and considered from a funding perspective
- Regularly report on treasury matters to Directors Group, Committees and Board, ensuring key risks and mitigation strategies are highlighted
- Manage external relationships with funders, maintaining an open and effective line of communication
- Build a culture of continual improvement within the Finance team, measuring and monitoring performance and taking responsibility for the overall quality of output of the treasury team
- Deliver training and act as a mentor to junior members of the team, in particular ensuring there is sufficient technical treasury knowledge at all levels of the directorate
- Advocate excellence within Finance and across the organisation
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Finance team to achieve the overall aims of the directorate

**Requirements**:
For this position, we have listed the requirements we believe are essential for this role:
**Experience**
- Minimum 5 years PQE
- Significant experience of leading a treasury function within the social housing sector
- Proven experience of successful performance management, team leadership and coaching/mentoring

**Knowledge/ Skills**
- Treasury management and funding options in the social housing market
- Ability identify control gaps, and design, implement and evaluate an appropriate control framework for the treasury function
- Strong relation building abilities and experience of working closely with funders and other external parties

**Qualifications**
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA)
