**HR Adviser**

Main Purpose of Job
To support the Head of HR in ensuring a professional and efficient HR service is provided to all managers, staff, and external stakeholders.

**Human Resources Duties**
- To undertake the administration of absence management - including absence line, daily absence, absence reward strategies, recording and monitoring return-to-work interviews and informing the Head of HR/Deputy Head of HR when further action may be required.
- Liaise with Occupational Health regarding referrals.
- Support the wellbeing of all staff by maintaining the wellbeing strategy, calendar and arranging and facilitating cross college wellbeing events.
- To issue, record and monitor all paperwork in relation to probationary periods of employment, liaise with Managers and refer any issues to Head of HR/Deputy Head of HR
- To be actively involved in generalist employee relations and HR Support within the team and across college
- To ensure all HR filing is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- To maintain the HR database
- To maintain accurate records and files of all relevant documentation

**Personal Development**
- To undertake staff development and attend staff meetings as required and requested
- To undertake continuous professional development
- To be actively involved in cross college events and support where necessary

**Additional Duties**
- To provide cover for all areas of HR as required
- To respond flexibly to the varied requirements of a fast changing environment.
- To perform a range of general duties as required.
- To promote and safeguard the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults at the college
- To accept flexible redeployment and reallocation of duties commensurate with the level of the post.

**HR Adviser**

**Qualifications**
- Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- CIPD qualification would be an advantage
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

**Knowledge/Experience**
- Administration experience
- Experience of working within a HR environment would be an advantage
- Experience of effective team working and promoting effective relationships between staff, students and the community is desirable
- Experience of dealing with a wide range of staff at all levels
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues
- Knowledge of equality and diversity issues

**Additional Requirements**

**Post Information**
- Reports to Head of Human Resources
- Must be available to start work at 8am Monday to Friday
- The post holder will undertake all duties and responsibilities in compliance with regulatory, legislative and college procedural requirements.

**Salary**: £23,799.00-£25,911.00 per year
