**Job Title: Streetworks Groundworker**

**Location**: Brighton, East Sussex

**Role Overview**:
As a Streetworks Groundworker, you will be responsible for supporting our streetworks projects, including roadworks, utilities installation, and maintenance tasks. Working closely with our site supervisors and team members, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Carry out a range of groundworks tasks including excavation, reinstatement, and backfilling in accordance with streetworks specifications.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of utilities infrastructure such as gas, water, and telecommunications networks.
- Operate machinery and equipment including mini diggers, compactors, and power tools as required.
- Follow health and safety procedures and adhere to relevant legislation and industry standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders to coordinate work activities and ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain accurate records of work undertaken and report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working as a Groundworker in streetworks or utilities projects.
- Valid Streetworks Operative qualification (NRSWA) with relevant endorsements.
- Proficiency in a range of groundworks techniques including excavation, trenching, and reinstatement.
- Ability to read and interpret streetworks plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work to the highest standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
