Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Applications Support Analyst to join our Finance team in Prescot. As a Finance Applications Support Analyst you will work as part of a small team, providing finance systems support to 70 Alfred HKnight Finance Systems users across the globe, along with Project Support to the rest of the Systems Team.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain records of incidents and requests, including notes on resolutions in Asana
- Ensure delivery against any agreed SLA’s
- Carry out Finance System housekeeping as directed
- Provide support on systems interfaces
- Investigate, analyse and document reported incidents and assign to other team members when necessary
- Support with the documentation of incident reports in the event of major incidents.
- Identify opportunities to automate and or improve processes within the Finance Systems function, making appropriate suggestions to line manager
- Build excellent working relationships with the internal IT Department, software authors and systems users
- Escalate any system change requests or other incidents to the Finance Systems Manager as required
- Run audit reports for users and interrogate the data base where necessary
- This role may involve travel to both UK and overseas sites to assist with system implementations and training. A usual trip would be between 1 to 2 weeks in duration
- To undertake other duties of an appropriate nature under direction of Line Manager
**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES**
**Experience/Background**
- Experience using Infor Sun Systems (desirable)
- Experience using tools such as MS Word, MS Excel (or Google Apps) essential
- Booking Keeping / Accounts knowledge (desirable)
**Qualifications/Education**
- NVQ Level 3 or above
**Person Specification**
- Analytical mind-set with ability to resolve complex problems with excellent user outcomes
- Accepts accountability and ownership of system issues
- User focussed, with ability to interact with users and champion user needs
- Effective communication of business change and processes
- Confidence in communicating system issues to internal or external audiences with varying degrees of system/technical understanding
**Technical Specification**
- Finance system knowledge (such as Sage, Sun Systems)
- MS Office knowledge
