Are you an experienced Engineering Stores Controller and Materials Planner looking for your next opportunity?

We have an exciting vacancy for an Engineering Stores Controller and Maintenance Planner to join our busy paper converting site in **Royton, Oldham**.

You will work 40 hours per week, working dayshifts of 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will be responsible for controlling the engineering stores and planning maintenance activities using CMMS.

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
- To organise and control the engineering stores.
- To ensure the stores are well maintained to the required stock levels.
- To organise spare parts for planned maintenance tasks
- To plan and record maintenance activities using CMMS.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Report to the Site Engineering Manager and support in maintenance planning.
- Monitor component use, identify stock requirements, and place orders in a timely manner to meet the needs of the engineering maintenance plan.
- Manage the stock control policy and practices including housekeeping to ensure that the inventory is accurate, and that stock can be easily retrieved.
- Identify obsolescence and ensure that there is an effective rotation of spares.
- Follow common processes and standards within the engineering department including safety, quality, environment and security.
- Promote health and safety awareness with all Northwood Hygiene Ltd Associates and contractors.
- Schedule and record maintenance activities using the company CMMS.
- Train and develop apprentices and/or other members of staff as required.

**Essential Skills**:
**Basic Requirements**:

- Have an engineering background or served a full engineering apprenticeship
- Experience working in a similar role
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel and Word
- Experience working with a CMMS, preferably Shire Systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical components
- Excellent communication skills at all levels. Excellent English communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Experience working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
- In-depth engineering knowledge and a willingness to train and learn new skills

**Preferred Experience**:

- Significant experience in a similar role within a similar industry
- Proven knowledge/experience of Shire Systems CMMS
