Job Title: Bartender

As a bartender, you will play a pivotal role in creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for patrons by crafting and serving a variety of beverages. You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar area, engaging with customers, and ensuring the efficient operation of the bar. Your excellent customer service skills, knowledge of cocktails and beverages, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of the establishment.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Mix and Serve Beverages:

- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Craft cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure drinks are properly garnished and presented.

2. Customer Service:

- Greet customers warmly, engage in conversation, and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist patrons in selecting beverages based on their preferences and menu offerings.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.

3. Maintain Bar Area:

- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies and ingredients.
- Check and restock glassware, utensils, and garnishes as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies when necessary.

4. Cash Handling:

- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Handle cash transactions, process credit card payments, and provide change.
- Keep accurate records of transactions and tips.

5. Adhere to Regulations:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal alcohol service regulations.
- Verify the legal drinking age of customers and refuse service as necessary.

6. Upselling and Promotions:

- Recommend premium or special beverages to customers, promoting upselling opportunities.
- Participate in promotions or special events to attract and retain customers.

7. Teamwork:

- Collaborate with other staff members, such as servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth service operations.
- Assist in training new bartenders or support staff when needed.

8. Cleanliness and Hygiene:

- Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Clean and sanitize glassware, bar tools, and work surfaces regularly.

9. Learn and Stay Updated:

- Stay informed about current beverage trends, new products, and mixology techniques.
- Continuously improve your knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and other beverages.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and legal drinking age regulations.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 per week

**Salary**: £7.26-£13.20 per hour
