Are you a passionate Senior Electrical Engineer, looking for an exciting new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Manchester.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer your role will be working within a multi-disciplined mechanical and electrical building services team, providing design and technical advice of projects. You will also provide technical consulting and design services to clientswhich will include; site surveys, meetings, feasibility studies, due diligence, design, technical reports and specifications, commissioning and all defect inspections.

The client is a UK leading organisation in building services design consultancy. They work on a variety of different client projects varying in size across the UK.

**Principle Responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Engineer:

- Understand the project appointment, fees, allocated time and scope of work following a briefing and be aware of any limitations of the duties on different projects.
- Have an understanding of project costs and the impact of designs and recommendations on the overall budget for the scheme and monitor time against these costs.
- Manage your workload to meet agreed timescales and deliverables.
- Arrange and attend meetings as required
- Communicate proactively and professionally with external project teams and clients, attending meetings in a professional manner. Prepare diligently for all meetings and issue a pre-prepared progress report to the meeting as required.
- Arrange and carry out site surveys as required and prepare the appropriate reports.
- Demonstrate and deliver acceptable technical and report writing skills.
- Deal with day-to-day queries from site and report to the client.
- Carry out condition surveys and feasibility studies
- As required produce designs, calculations, room data sheets, equipment schedules and specifications and other technical information as required to meet the agreed project stage / level, and coordinate these with others in conjunction with the CAD Department.
- Promote and consider sustainability and energy efficiency within designs and recommendations.
- Carry out and report on defects inspections and snagging and input into the witnessing of commissioning.
- Comment on the as-fitted drawings and O&M documents.
- Assist with the supervision and mentoring of any junior, trainee or graduate engineers as agreed, and where required provide technical support to others and encourage innovation and engineering development.
- Assist in the preparation of fee bids for new and repeat business enquiries.

- Technical Report Writing
- Undertaking site surveys independently
- Windows
- Excel/Word
- AutoCAD
- Amtech electrical design
- Sustainability and energy efficiency
- CIBSE Guides including lighting design guidance
- IET Regulations
- CDM Regulations
- British Standards
- Good attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- CSCS card (or willing to apply)
- Driving licence (if receiving a car allowance)

This is a full time permanent Senior Electrical Engineer position, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, offering an annual salary starting at £50,000, plus annual company benefits.
