**We are recruiting for a Warehouse Forklift MHE Instructor with an immediate start. Working within a brand-new facility based at East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire, DE74 2BB Derby where you will become an integral member of the team.**
**_Experience is preferred but we are happy to invest in the right person for this role as it is a temp to perm vacancy._**
**Forklift Instructor Role**:
Reporting to the site Training manager you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting within the warehouse, through Training and Auditing of all on site MHE trained personnel. When training is not required you will be required to support othersites or the warehouse in other roles.
**Hours of Work for the Forklift Instructor**:
- 4 days on 4 days off - Day Shift or Night Shifts available (06.30-18.30/18.30-06.30)
- £13.33 per hour temporary role (£26,000 PA for temp to perm roles)
- Some flexibility is required in order to support the training team and workload.
**Key Responsibilities for a Forklift Instructor**:
- Responsible for providing a consistently high level of technical skills training to support the operations area through a variety of delivery methods.
- Working as the Sites MHE instructor ensuring that that all training is completed and recorded in line with company policy.
- Update the site skills matrix, ensure that all novice/refresher training is completed within specified time frames.
- Responsible for ensuring the on-going competence of all MHE operators through the delivery of refresher training, recorded work place assessments and where appropriate other training following the identification of unsafe practices or following accidents/ incidents.
- Assist and advise in the investigation of MHE related accidents.
- Assisting in the creation/updating of Safe system of works and suitable and sufficient risk assessments of MHE activities. Ensure hazards are correctly identified and control measures introduced to eliminate or reduce the risk as so far as is reasonably practicableand ensuring these are trained out to all relevant staff.
- Liaising with the Training Manager to ensure all site training is covered across all shifts.
- Assisting with site inductions and manual handling.
**Transferrable Skills as a Forklift Instructor in Derbyshire**:
- Counter Balance, Reach, LLOP, VNA, PPT experience preferred. RTITB or ITSARR accreditation.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns in order to cover training for a twenty four hour operation.
- Should have excellent oral and written communication skills and able to deliver key presentations.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to problem solve.
- Within the Logistics Distribution and supply chain
