**Job description**:
**Are you looking for your next Financial Controller position with one of the UK's leading construction businesses?**

**This is a brand new Divisional Financial Controller working for the Driffield based division of this well known, highly acquisitive North Yorkshire based business.**

**The role will report to the Divisional FD, and take full responsibility for the management accounts, reporting, forecasting, analysis and business partnering, along with overseeing a small finance team.**

**The business are looking for a highly ambitious, bright, driven “rising star” who has the potential to grow and develop into a Divisional FD role in the longer term**

**The role would be ideally suited to a commercially minded qualified accountant who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys autonomy and ownership, and has the ability to build strong relationships and influence at board level**

**Reporting to the Divisional FD the key duties will include**:

- Monthly management acounts and variance analysis for submission to both the Company’s board of directors and the Group finance team for incorporation in the Group’s consolidated accounts.
- Managing a team fo 3 staff.
- Monthly cash forecasting and reporting.
- Quarterly profit forecasting.
- Annual budget including setting of departmental budgets with assistance for departmental heads and monitoring of those costs.
- Annual published IFRS statutory financial statements.
- Ad-joc projects as and when they arise
- Deputise for the Finance Director when required.
- Continuous improvement of the financial processes and procedures required to support the development of the business including improving internal control process and procedures.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the Company’s board and Group finance team.
- Be fully qualfiied CIMA/ACCA/ACA - Essential
- Have a minimum of 2 years within a Finance Manager/Assistant FC or FC position - Essential
- Have strong technical and analytical skills including advanced MS Excel skills - Essential
- Have experience of working within a group environment and construction or manufacturing experience - Highly desirable
