Vacancy summary: Act as principal fundraiser for local events and collect the money boxes which are placed on shop counters

Key activities:

- To act as main point of contact, to arrange fundraising stalls at local events. Currently around 4 per year but there is scope to attend more events if time allows.
- To complete the booking forms for those events. To collect items from members of the public to sell on the stalls.
- To organise the volunteers/Trustees to help at the events and recruit more volunteer helpers.
- To arrange and collect the collection boxes placed on shop counters within our area. (collected by 2 Trustees/volunteers) Usually collected twice a year Banking the events/collection boxes taking in Darlington/collections.
- Using your vehicle to transport items to and from the events We would like to take you on as a Trustee to help run the Branch in the role of events co-ordinator.

Times & preferred duration of commitment: The hours will vary from month to month depending how often the events take place.

Experience/skills/knowledge/ personal qualities required:

- You will need to be able to work with people and have good interpersonal skills. You do not need to be an expert although commitment, common sense and the ability to be objective is vital. Specific skills such as finance, fundraising and charity legislation can be useful.

Part-time hours: 2 per week

**Salary**: £1.00-£2.00 per year
