Credit Controller

Lusona is recruiting for an experienced credit controller to work with our client in Kirkcaldy. You will be part of a small, friendly team of 4 people and have the responsibility for credit control for the firm, managing customer accounts, and ensuring payments are received when due.
Responsibilities will include:
- Accurately allocating customer's payments and reconciliation
- Manage all credit control duties - monitoring reports, aged debt reports, and unallocated cash
- Following sales ledger procedures to ensure best practice and ensuring that credit insurance policy requirements are met
- Processing contras and journals when required
- Updating comments on aged debt reports
- Reviewing and responding to credit safe alerts
- Safeguarding the company's exposure to bad debts
- Manage customer ledger and ensure payments are received when due - if not follow up queries in a timely manner - keeping in contact with the client to ensure invoices are paid
- Resolving any queries regarding late invoices
- Process/allocate online banking transactions
- Set up new customer accounts
- Release held orders on a timely basis and in accordance with local procedures
- Complete credit checks to set up new customer and existing customer credit limits
- Regular monitoring of customer credit limits
- Update the sales ledger instruction manuals as required
- Keep stringent in-house audit records
