**Job Title**: Temporary Housing Procurement Specialist
**Location**: Norwich, but can be full remote for right person
**Duration**: 6-month Temporary Position
**Start Date**: Immediate
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our client's team on a temporary basis for six months. If you have a strong background in housing procurement or relevant construction experience, possess exceptional organisational, negotiation, and analytical skills, and thrive under pressure, we want to hear from you.
**Key Requirements**:
- **Procurement Experience**: You should bring substantial experience in housing procurement or relevant construction fields. Your expertise will be instrumental in sourcing materials and services efficiently.
- **Deadline-Oriented**: The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial in this role. You will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and decision-making abilities are essential for evaluating tenders, analysing supplier performance, and managing budgets.
- **Collaborative Work**: We emphasise collaborative work, and your ability to work effectively within a team is a must.
- **Technical Aptitude**: You should be adept at reading and interpreting technical information and construction drawings, measuring quantities, producing material schedules, and undertaking value engineering exercises.
- **Budget Management**: Your experience in managing materials budgets, negotiating best value prices, and preparing costed procurement proposals will be invaluable.
- **Supplier Relations**: You will be responsible for negotiating group deals, rebates with manufacturers and suppliers, and managing supplier performance while analysing and reporting on KPIs.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Experience working in alignment with CDM and Health and Safety regulations is essential.
- **Reporting**: The role involves producing specifications for inquiries, analysing and evaluating tenders, and creating procurement reports for the management team.
