**Cabin Fitter (Welfare Units) - Glasgow Depot**

**Welfare Cabin Fitter - the Role**:
Reporting to the Regional Accommodation Manager and working at our Glasgow Depot, our **Welfare Cabin Fitter **is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our site welfare units. In this role you will specialise in setting up welfare units that are equipped with essential facilities to meet the requirements and specifications of our customers. Duties within this role include:

- Fit out, refurbish, and repair welfare accommodation units according to drawings / standard layouts, using hand tools, power tools, saws, measuring instruments, and various equipment where trained to do so.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the welfare units or generators.
- Ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity & safety.
- Carry out checks including off hires. Reporting any damages or shortages on the hire advice.
- Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of health & Safety & company standards & policies.
- Ensure all work done & parts used are recorded e.g., check lists, chargeable jobs, job sheets.
- Attend breakdowns where necessary and perform on site repairs and work on customers sites where necessary.
- Perform regular inspections and tests on the welfare units and generators to ensure they are in good working condition

**Are you the right person for this job?**
- Experience in working with welfare units and/or in the installation of toilet facilities, hot water, heating, canteen area, drying room, and generator in the welfare units.
- Knowledge of low voltage DC systems and generators
- A strong attention to detail
- The ability to ensure all work is completed to a high standard within a certain timescale
- CSCS card for working on site
