Driver/factory Labourer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate commercial vehicles.

**Duties**:

- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure packaging
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods in a timely manner and addressing any customer concerns or inquiries

Qualifications:

- Valid 7.5 Tonne license with a clean driving record and in date CPC and digital tacho card.
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Familiarity with flatbed, and curtain side trucks is a plus
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo safely
- Excellent communication skills to interact with warehouse staff and customers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will be asked to perform other Labouring duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. This will involve general labouring duties around the factory when not driving.

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

- Driving: 1 year (required)
- Commercial driving: 1 year (required)

- CPC Card and digital tacho card (required)
