Job Title: DT Teacher

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced DT (Design and Technology) Teacher to join our team. As a DT Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students to explore and develop their creativity and technical skills in the areasof product design, engineering, and practical skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver engaging and challenging DT lessons to students, across all year groups and abilities
- Plan and prepare effective schemes of work, lessons, and resources that meet the needs of all students
- Assess, monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues
- Promote a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and risk-taking
- Encourage students to work independently and collaboratively to develop their design skills, practical skills, and problem-solving skills
- Manage the DT workshop and equipment to ensure that they are safe and well-maintained
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in DT and ensure that your teaching practice reflects this

**Requirements**:

- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and experience of teaching DT in a secondary school setting
- A passion for DT and a creative approach to teaching and learning
- A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and positive approach to work
- Strong behaviour management is vital for this role
