**Are you working long hours in the service department of a motor dealership? Would you like to stop working weekends? Are you working on the tools in a cold and drafty workshop? Would like to use your experience in a warm and comfortable office instead?**

If you are tempted to answer yes to any or all of these questions, this opportunity could be for you as we are currently looking for a Claims Advisor to join to our growing team at our office in Lincoln.

Using your technical knowledge and experience, this position includes being the first point of contact for warranty holders, repairers and dealers for claims advice. You will be the front line advisor for the claims handling process and will be assessing claims from initial contact to the final decision.

**The Role**
- To ensure incoming telephone calls to the claims department are answered in a prompt and professional manner. Qualify the incoming call and obtain the relevant information from the caller.
- Own the claim from initial contact to completion of the claim, ensure all parties involved are kept informed at the necessary points during the claims process. Ensure communication commitments that have been made to any party are kept.
- You will be required to ensure all claims handled are processed within the terms and conditions as per the warranty.

**You will have**:

- High level of Motor Vehicle Technical knowledge
- Excellent PC operating skills, Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook, Word.
- Knowledge of internet search engines for sourcing information such as parts supply, repairer details and technical information.

**Key Attributes**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong numerical skills with understanding of VAT rules for claims
- High level of technical knowledge of motor vehicles, with the ability to be able to communicate this knowledge between warranty holders with little or no technical knowledge in a manner which the warranty holder will be able to understand
- Professional telephone manner when dealing with all telephone calls
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to negotiate with repairers and dealers to ensure cost effective repairs are carried out
- Exceptional customer service skills, treating customers fairly must always be considered when dealing with warranty holders
- Respect for confidential information and understanding of data protection
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professional and courteous manner when dealing with difficult and sometimes upset or frustrated warranty holders and repairers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
