Systems Support Analyst

Systems Support Analyst required to be responsible for overseeing the use of our clients main operating system and to maximise their usage of ProVision to meet customer needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Our client is based in Preston/Chorley region and offers a hybrid working environment, but you are required in the office 1-2 days a week and can work remotely the remaining time. They are also offering an attractive salary to £40K + Benefits
Systems Support Analyst - Key skills & experience:
- Systematic problem-solving skills and the ability to implement solutions to solve root cause of problems
- Strong business and technical skills in all operational areas
- Knowledge of SQL, Oracle and Solaris
- Ideally detailed end user ProVision, or Sopra Steria or DPR knowledge/experience
- Ideally detailed knowledge of business processes and how they map to rule sets
- Appreciation of regulatory environment and business impact
- Able to handle multiple, complex priorities balancing the needs of each according to business impact
- Excellent listener. Empathetic and compassionate to individuals concerns and directs necessary follow-up actions
- Effective in small and large group sessions
Systems Support Analyst - Qualifications
- Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English or equivalent
- Ideally in-depth knowledge and experience of the ProVision or Sopra Steria or DPR system
- Ideally experience within the operational areas of a Financial Services organisation
Systems Support Analyst - Accountabilities
- Develop the company’s main operating system to meet the changing needs of customers and intermediaries in line with regulatory requirements and change
- Identify improvements to enhance processes and effectiveness throughout the company though efficient use of the system
- Review and oversee the company’s use of rules and ensure they map as intended to the company’s business processes
- Manage and oversee the testing of ProVision software releases with the various operational business units including live deployment
- Ownership and oversight of day, month and year end processes
- Undertake system checks, housekeeping, and daily production control of routine IT activities as necessary
- Comply with all legal responsibilities and codes of conduct to which the company must comply with i.e. Banking Code, BSA and FCA etc.
- All frameworks, policies and procedures relevant to this role must be complied with.
