**The Client **A privately owned company located in the West Midlands and Worcestershire established over 50 years ago and the UK’s leading manufacturers in their field. Providing a design and manufactured bespoke solution to the clients they are supplying many of the biggest brands and e-commerce companies across the globe, with around 30% of their product exported this client has an annual turnover in excess of £30M.

**Overview**

To provide support to the Exotec Project Manager to ensure all Exotec orders are on time and in full delivery including ensuring that all products are produced in accordance with customer requirements and free from defects/poor workmanship.

**Responsibilities**
- Planning is key to achieving the above scope. Working with the planning department, manage day to day manning and production planning, making sure that any changes are reflected in this plan e.g. transfer of labour, holidays, sickness etc.
- Measure and record all manufacturing and assembly timings
- Ensure time sheets are completed daily for assembly and pre-assembly functions, review output and communicate achievement against targets.
- Responsibility for individual training records being kept up to date, also departmental training matrices.
- Responsibilities under both the quality and H&S standards and policies and for updating the integrated management system to reflect updates/changes
- Introduce quality checklists for use by assemblers/production throughout and cross reference these to the serial numbers for full traceability.
- Raise all PAR’s and change the process where necessary to avoid replication of errors - communicate accordingly
- Liaise with progress to make sure customer is informed at the earliest opportunity of any issues affecting supply to the dates promised.
- Carry out first level patrol inspections of all manufacturing and assembly areas to ensure quality standards are being met
- Make sure all assembly areas are clean and tidy employing 5S techniques
- Utilise visual management boards and other lean techniques to aid real time progress of the schedule
- Advise Department Manager on employee performance and make recommendations for recruitment, disciplinary, termination, overtime, pay grade changes and bonuses.
- Maintain performance against set targets and maintain key KPI’s for reports to Senior Management
- Endeavor to achieve 100% in house manufacture where applicable and advise on second shift requirements.
- Carry out further education and training where necessary in order to perform the role to the best of your ability.
- Maintain integrity of stock and secure stores area. Advice on lead times and update computer systems accordingly. Direct supervision of Stock Controller.
- Liaise with IT Engineer If/when the product is incorporated into the MRP system and maintain BOM’s accordingly.

**Requirements**:

- Exceptional organisational skills
- Demonstratable supervisory experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment desirable
