**Brief job description**:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Software Tester at Holidaysplease, a Travel Company based in Birmingham.

The travel sector is an amazing sector to work in as it attracts fun loving, positive people and has the best perks in the world

We are looking for a junior programmer to join our team of developers.

**Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of**:

- Front end web development mainly PHP and JavaScript work - 35%
- Back end development work within an in-house framework and Laravel - 40%
- Database management/development - 20%
- Office network, IT security and IT support - 5%
- Training and support will be provided at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
- At least a 2:1 at University.

**Skills Required**:

- Good PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS skills.
- Good SQL skills (MySQL)
- Laravel framework knowledge.
- A fair understanding of network administration and IT hardware/software support issues.
- A good understanding of IT security.
- A passion for programming, and a desire to learn more.

**Personal qualities**:

- Linux server administration.
- Database administration.
- Technical / science degree.
- VueJS knowledge.

**Future prospects**:
The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

**Training to be provided**:
Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Software Developer, with training in how to:

- Create logical and maintainable codes for software development.
- Implement accurate and effective change control.
- Undertake unit testing of solutions, with appropriate levels of test code coverage, to identify and resolve issues.
