Role:
As a SHEQ & Streetworks Coordinator, you will support the SHEQ, Streetworks and Operations team. You will provide admin support and to ensure that the company’s work is effectively programmed by submitting notices/permits, responding to council comments and jeopardy managing notices/permits to minimise the risk of Streetworks non-compliance.

**The responsibilities of the SHEQ & Streetworks Coordinator include**:
You will support the supplier throughout the city build and ensure that their schedule work is in accordance with SLA and permits.

You will understand the works system and work to the processes accordingly.

You will maintain timely and accurate input and uploading of information into the works management systems, ensuring that all issues are recorded and escalated.

You will understand and use the Symology/Street Manager system.

You will support the Streetworks and Statutory Compliance Manager to ensure Streetworks performance is in line with VX Fiber KPI’s

You will consult with Field Operations Engineers and supplier teams to ensure programmes are delivered ensuring that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner.

You will validate and transmit notice/permit requests in a timely manner.

You will operate and manage the system to ensure that all open and closing of street work notices/permits.

You will escalate street works compliance issues where appropriate.

You will coordinate with other third parties e.g., Parking suspensions, bus stop suspensions, road closures etc.

You will analyse and respond to Section 74 charges & fixed penalty offences.

You will run and circulate daily jeopardy reports as required.

You will monitor and chase any outstanding issues.

You will provide general admin support.

You will provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change

You will ensure that safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Exceptional knowledge of Streetworks Legislation (NRSWA (1991), TMA (2004), TSA (2019), Streetworks Codes of Practice).
- Understanding of statutory requirements and penalties impacting on the Streetworks activity.
- Highly skilled communicator, able to interact clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in a team management role.
- Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.
- Ability to assess conflicting data to make informed decisions.
- Developed negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
- Ability to conduct professional presentations to internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage costs and budgets to agreed targets.
- Full driving licence.

**To be successful in this role you need to be able to demonstrate as a minimum**:

- Working knowledge of streetworks and statutory policies, procedures and working practices
- Management experience
- Experience of dealing effectively with external and internal customers
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and analytical skills
- Effective and confident written and verbal communication

**Qualifications**:

- Proven success in a similar role with a measurable track record
- References will need to be provided

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
