Tyre Bailer

This is a hard working role from start to finish, lifting & carrying tyres (clean & dirty) loading and unloading from lorries. This is a very active role and you'll need be fit and healthy. Not for the faint hearted

**Responsibilities**:

- **Bailing Scrap Tires**: Operate a tire baler to compress and bundle scrap tires efficiently.
- **Sorting and Preparation**: Sort tires according to size, condition, and material type for effective baling. Remove any contaminants or non-tire materials from the tires before processing.
- **Maintaining Equipment**: Perform routine maintenance checks on the baler and other equipment to ensure smooth operation. Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor promptly.
- **Ensuring Safety**: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the baler and handling tires. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members to coordinate tire disposal and recycling efforts. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to streamline operations.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of tire quantities baled and disposed of. Complete necessary paperwork or electronic documentation related to tire recycling activities.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role or familiarity with industrial equipment operation preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy tires and operate the baler machinery.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Compliance with safety regulations and willingness to participate in safety training programs.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £99.00-£100.00 per day

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
