**About The Role**:
We seek a solutions-focused and dedicated **Distribution Centre Controller** to join our Springvale, West Midlands team. As part of one of the fastest-growing national and international UK-based retail chains, you will lead a multi-temperature-controlled distribution centre, overseeing Warehouse and Transport functions. It is a critical leadership role within our Distribution Leadership Team, where you will drive operational improvements and ensure the highest service standards to our customers and colleagues.

**Responsibilities**:
As the Distribution Centre Controller, you will:

- Lead a diverse team of over 500 members, driving effective communication and engagement.
- Ensure Health and Safety initiatives are implemented and adhered to, keeping safety at the heart of all operations.
- Oversee the financial performance of the site, managing costs and achieving budgetary targets.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Coach and develop your team, setting clear objectives and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Coordinate site and production management activities to maintain and improve safety and operational standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Poundland, ensuring our values are reflected in every aspect of the distribution centre's operations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven leadership experience in a similar distribution centre management role.
- People management skills with a track record of driving positive site culture.
- Extensive knowledge of Transport services and operations, including international logistics.
- Experience in Inventory and Stock Control management within a high-volume, fast-paced FMCG, Dry Grocery, and Chilled environment.
- Proficiency in Reporting & Analytics using MS Office.
- IOSH qualification (minimum) in Health & Safety systems.
- An understanding of how technology supports business operations and the ability to drive digital transitions.
