**About us**:

The Lung Regeneration and Development Group, led by Marko Nikolić, is part of UCL Respiratory, which comprises state-of-the-art laboratories in central London, that are extremely well equipped and provide an attractive working environment.
**About the role**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic pre-PhD-level Junior Bioinformatician to join Dr Nikolić’s team of highly motivated junior and senior researchers, clinicians, data scientists, and single-cell experts.
Human challenge studies involve the intentional infection of volunteers, providing high-precision models for studying host-pathogen interactions in small numbers of participants. A Wellcome Trust-funded collaborative SARS-CoV-2 human challenge study is currently underway, with input from groups at UCL, Imperial College London and Oxford University. We will be using process nasal mucosal swab and blood samples from this study for Chromium 10X single-cell RNA sequencing. The data generated will be used to build a detailed atlas of the immune response to SARS-CoV-2, for use in new vaccine generation and prediction of vaccine responses.
Please note that this is a fixed-term role, available for 2 months and 3 weeks and appointment will be made at Grade 6 point 22.

**About you**:
Experience with NGS data, analysis of single-cell RNAseq data and genomics, are also essential.
