Cafe Worker/ Crepe Maker

Job Overview:
We are a small, but widely recognised and much loved Brighton institution, operating from our new cafe at 30 Grand Parade, but also operating three vans, from which we do pop ups, events, weddings and festivals. We are seeking new people as we get busier with events. We are very flexible about hours, as we may need a large team for a festival one week, but fewer people the next.. As a Cafe Worker/Crepemaker, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious crepes, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment, whether you find yourself working in the van or in the cafe.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of crepes according to customer orders
- Assist with food preparation and general kitchen duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the cafe

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a cook or in food preparation
- Knowledge of crepe making techniques is preferred, but not required (training will be provided)
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Culinary training or certification is a plus

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £8.60-£11.40 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
