Keeping over 220 Lidl stores fully stocked is no small task. That’s the job of our regional distribution centre, matching supply and demand 24/7. With goods of all kinds flowing in and out, including fresh and frozen produce as well as non-food, it’s essential that they are received, stored and delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Our Regional Distribution Centre is looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic individual to join their Warehouse team. This role entails various admin tasks, working within both an office and warehouse environment. Reporting to the Deputy Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring stock is checked, stored and picked efficiently and effectively to be shipped to all stores across the region. You will provide the vital link between the stores and the warehouse ensuring that orders and received and processed in a timely manner. This opportunity is ideal for an individual looking to utilise their strong organisational and interpersonal skills in a buzzing, dynamic team environment.

Warehouse Desk Clerks are essential in keeping us moving. Crunching the numbers and handling the constant flow of incoming and outgoing orders with speed and accuracy, co-operating closely with stores and suppliers.

What you'll do
- Processing the planned delivery runs and schedules in the tour planning program, optimising the schedule, and adjusting to varied pallet volumes
- Checking and counting pallets in the store lanes to ensure the quality and quantities are correct
- Organising and dispatching haulier drivers, providing them with completed debriefs and additional documentation for stores
- Manage all aspects of cold-chain ensuring our products arrive fresh in-store
- Handling the Goods Out desk by dealing with store and haulier queries, liaising with other departments to ensure any delays are clearly communicated and handled

What you'll need
- Previous administration experience, working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word
- Great attention to detail organisation and initiative
- Confident communication, fluent in spoken and written English
- Flexibility about work times, including early mornings, late nights & weekends
- Previous transport experience desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Must be available to work flexible shifts and weekends (please note this not a 9-5 role)
