What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our in-house Design team is looking for Mechanical Engineers to join the established team in Edinburgh, working within our Water Technologies business. You will take on a fully supported leading role in all aspectsof projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.

As part of industry-leading multi-disciplined project teams, some of your key duties will include:

- Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation.
- Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.
- Develop design deliverables.
- Complete checking and approval processes.
- Arrange procurement of goods and services.
- Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
- Assemble contract works information documents.
- Consider project health and safety, quality and environmental matters.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
- Implement project change control and programme requirements.
- Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.

What do you need?
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of British and European design standards
- Minimum of 5 years proven track record as a Mechanical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment within the Water (or related Process) Industry
