**Graduate Learning Support Assistant**

**LOCATION: Leicester**

**Start date: Immediately**

**Monday to Friday**

**08:30- 15:30**

**Pay: £80 - £100 DOE**

**Duration: until Easter 2023, could extend further.**

**REED Education is currently working in collaboration with a number of Secondary Schools in Leicester that are looking for Graduate Learning Support Assistants to join them. The role of Learning Support Assistant is a rewarding and exciting role wherethe main purpose of this role is to provide support for students with Special Educational Needs. To work with students to ensure that they can access the same level of learning as their peers and are able to fully integrate with activities and learning.**

**Some of the daily responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant include, motivating students to achieve beyond their potential. Encouraging student to engage within in and beyond the classroom. Encouraging children to communicate, both orallyand with written communication. This is not exhaustive list of duties, day to day duties and responsibilities will differ everyday. You will become an integral part of the student’s life and will prove to be a positive role model to young influential minds.Your influence will impact the life of the student for the rest of their lives.**

- **Have the ability to provide varying levels of individual levels of attention, reassurance and support**:

- **Have an understanding of how children develop, socially and mentally.**:

- **Have the ability to demonstrate active listening skills and have strong verbal communications skills**:

- **Have an understanding of safeguarding procedures**:

- **Be able to adapt to a wide range of duties with changing circumstances**:

- **Harbour a strong desire to inspire and a passion for helping students with challenges.**:

- **Have an empathetic and caring personality**:

- **Be able to always remain calm under pressure**:

- **Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to pay £38 for a new check ton be undertaken.
