**Reception Teacher**

A co-educational independent prepatory school for children aged between three and eleven are looking to hire a reception teacher to start before the new year. The school is small, private and friendly where children are happy to learn in a stimulating enviroment.The school has a strong child-centred approach with an enviroment designed to encourage every child, of all ages and abilities, to achieve their maximum potential. The school is based in the heart of Blackheath Village. You will be working in fast structuredpace giving a sense of urgency in the childrens quest for excellence. The timetable is structured to encourage children to work hard at all points of day in an active enviroment. All previous students have a excellent academic record at 11+ entry leading tosecondary schools in the area. Class sizes are small to enable maximum attention for each child and greater pupil participation, standard maximum class size is 18.

Main Responsibilities as a Reception Teacher:

- Teach all areas of the curriculum
- Strong at phonics
- Provide a stimulating classroom enviroment where pupils are happy to speak their mind and engage in healthy debate
- Effective planning, preparation, and evaluation of all aspects of the EYFS provision
- Provide pastoral care and support to children and provide them with a secure environment in which to learn
- Run after school clubs and take part in the wider school ethos

The successful Reception Teacher will need the following:

- The right to work in the UK
- DBS (Refunded DBS once worked a set period)
- Overseas police check if applicable
- Experience as a reception teacher or relevantly degree educated
- You must be willing to attend a registration interview and an interview with the client
