**UK Field Service Engineer - South**

**Swindon, Wiltshire**

**£40,000 Per Annum + Bonus + Benefits**

Our client, has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join their team

**Field Service Engineer Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals to determine work procedures
- Communicate regularly with service leads, customers, sales, technicians, engineering and shop
- Record Activity - complete (job tickets) service reports, record repairs and maintenance performed
- Share information with team members, customers, and your supervisor to help prioritise and keep customer apprised of corrective actions and equipment status
- Equipment Maintenance -perform routine maintenance on equipment and necessary training
- Seek and obtain and retain sufficient product knowledge to ensure work is competently performed
- Active knowledge of proper tool selection
- Engage with customer on site, analyse equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problem, and determine actions needed to restore system to performance specifications
- Troubleshooting - Identifies, analyses failures, determine causes of operating errors and taking action to remedy the problem
- Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment
- Adhere to all safety guidelines
- 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area of maintenance experience - servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical machinery
- Previous experience and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and motor control circuitry required
- Customer relations management skills preferred
- Possess a valid driver's license
- PLC's with Ladder Logic knowledge
- Food Processing Machinery experience is desired
- Electro-mechanical experience preferred
- Daily travel during the week which may require overnight stays - mostly throughout the south of the UK, however flexibility if required to travel farther afield
