Pharmacy Services Assistant

Train to be a Pharmacy Services Assistant over a 12-15 month period. undertaking a GPhC accredited Level 2 qualification To perform a variety of support duties within the medicines supply chain. These include stock receipt, stock counting & ordering (top-ups), medicines order assembly, and distribution. Stock control procedures and stocktaking.
The cleaning of aseptic facilities and the disposal of pharmaceutical waste. Assembly, packaging and over-labelling pharmaceutical products. There are no line management responsibilities. All duties are performed working to procedures, mostly under direct supervision.
The jobholder will work as a member of a team of Support Workers. Although duties are generally rostered across the team, there may be changes in response to urgent demand, service cover etc. The post holder will be required to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.
