We are working with a local Hebburn**Primary School** who are looking for a **Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant**each to join their team of dedicated staff committed to achieving high standards of education. You will be working as a one-to-one support for a pupil with **Special Educational Needs**.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification or relevant experience of working with children
- Experience of working with Early Years or Primary aged pupils
- A DBS on the update service (assistance offered if not)
- Safeguarding trained (free training provided if not)

The Role
- Clarifying and explaining instructions
- Motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils’ needs
- Assisting in weaker areas, e.g., speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting/presentation
- Using praise, commentary, and assistance to encourage the pupil to concentrate and stay on task
- Liaising with class teacher and other staff to contribute to the planning and delivery of Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP)
- Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies
- Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil
- Supporting differentiation and feedback to class teacher
