We are currently looking to recruit a **Laboratory Assistant** to join our award-winning business at **Ayr**. Our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (EMEAI) territories for Neogen, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 1,800 people worldwide.

Genomics Lab Assistant will be responsible for participating in ancillary laboratory duties including laboratory cleans, waste management and stock management and assisting in the movement of samples within the laboratory including short and long term storage and sample retrieval.

**Job Responsibilities Include**:

- To participate in ancillary laboratory duties including laboratory cleans, waste management and stock management.
- To assist in the movement of samples within the laboratory including: short and long term storage and sample retrieval.
- To use, calibration, cleaning and maintenance of liquid handling automation and other laboratory equipment.
- Following and maintaining laboratory standard operating procedures.
- All training will be provided._

**Skills & Experience required**:

- High attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines while producing work of a high standard and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Ability to multitask
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages desirable
